Special people deserve special recognition! Now is the time to let us know about those shining stars who have gone above and beyond to encourage and nourish our children this year. We need your help recognizing these PTA members, RHS faculty, and community members who have served our students as described below (see award types below). 

Awards will be presented at the RHS Awards/Scholarship Banquet & PTA General Meeting on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 6:00pm

Award Types:

✯ National PTA Lifetime Achievement Award:
This award is the highest honor from the nation’s largest child advocacy organization and is given to a special person who goes above and beyond for all children and acts as a tireless advocate for children’s education, health, and well-being.

✯ Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership Award:
This is one of the highest honors that may be presented to individuals for outstanding service to children and youth. It is awarded in recognition of individuals who have given of their time and ability in the interest of the young people of Texas.

✯ Texas PTA Extended Service Award:
Presented to individuals who have given outstanding service to Texas PTA and have been actively involved with Texas PTA for 10 years and are Texas Life Members.

✯ Golden Apple Award:
This award is given to individuals who have given outstanding service to the school and the students.

✯ Eagle Guardian Award:
Awarded to someone who exemplifies "True Eagle Spirit."

✯ Golden Eagle Service Award:
Awarded by the RHS PTA to recognize exceptional service to RHS and RISD.

✯ Eagle Emeritus:
Presented to a retiring RHS teacher, staff member, or volunteer in recognition of service and dedication to RHS students and families.
