RHS Mum Shop

Mum's the Word is Richardson High School's Mum Shop and is a big part of our annual Homecoming weekend traditions. It is also Richardson High School PTA's biggest fundraiser; 100% of profits enable RHS PTA to fund programs for our students, parents and faculty!

 

The Mum Shop offers handmade mums and garters featuring an assortment of trinkets, ribbons and embellishments. Each item is made to order by our talented volunteers ensuring a quality product that students can proudly wear to show their school spirit during Homecoming then save as a keepsake for years to come.

WE MOVED!

 

Mum’s the Word is now located at Greenwood Hills Elementary at 1313 West Shore Drive, Richardson, TX 75080.  You will park in the back lot located on Woodland Way.  We are in rooms 14 & 15.  Use the 1st door entrance at the rear.

 

 

VOLUNTEER!

 

There's no sign-up to volunteer and you can come for as long (or short) as you want during work days. Volunteer hours are for ANYONE! We will approve hours for credit purposes too.

No experience necessary! We welcome the opportunity to teach new skills to any volunteer! We are just getting started, now is a great time to come in and start with the basics with things like cutting, gluing and stapling. We make ALL the parts of our mums and garters before we even start putting them together so there is LOTS to do!

 

We are working hard at the shop every week but we have a great time—it is a fun, friendly and welcome environment!  If you have tried before but felt like it wasn't for you, we encourage you to give the all NEW RHS Mum Store a try. We think you will like it!  
 
 

ONLINE SHOP!

 

 

 

 

The mum store will open for sales August 23rd
 
Shopping hours are:
Monday-Thursday 4-7 pm
Saturdays 10-4
 
Then last day of sales will be Tuesday, September 16.
 

 

In order to keep our sales tax-free we will have one pick-up day on Sunday, September 28th from 10am -- 5pm. If your order is paid in full you will only need to drive through!
 

 

We will have pop-up shops at school this year to make it easier for students to purchase a mum or garter! Stay tuned for details.
 

 

Important to know:

  • Mums and garters for seniors are traditionally white and gold with purple and gold accents.
  • Mums and garters for underclassmen are traditionally purple and gold.
  • All sales are done in-person and online at the RHS PTA Mum Shop
  • Orders can be placed with a 50% payment and pay the rest by pick up day.
  • All Mum Shop sales are final (no refunds)
