RHS Mum Shop

Mum's the Word is Richardson High School's Mum Shop and is a big part of our annual Homecoming weekend traditions. It is also Richardson High School PTA's biggest fundraiser; 100% of profits enable RHS PTA to fund programs for our students, parents and faculty!

The Mum Shop offers handmade mums and garters featuring an assortment of trinkets, ribbons and embellishments. Each item is made to order by our talented volunteers ensuring a quality product that students can proudly wear to show their school spirit during Homecoming then save as a keepsake for years to come.

It’s almost Mum Season!

In-store AND online sales begin Saturday, SEPTEMBER 12th!

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4–7 PM

Saturdays: 10 AM–4 PM

 

Last day to order: October 6th

Mum Pickup Day: October 13th

 

Need a little flexibility? We offer the option to pay half when you order and the remaining half at pickup for families who need it.

 

We’ll also have a limited number of donated and discounted mums & garters available on a first-come, first-served basis. We are posting those on our socials, so keep an eye out! 

 

And a reminder - we’re still accepting donations! If you have old mums, garters, or mum supplies you’d like to donate, we’d love to give them new life and help make Homecoming special for another student.

 

Important to know:

• Mums and garters for seniors are traditionally white and gold with purple and gold accents.
• Mums and garters for underclassmen are traditionally purple and gold.
• All sales are done in-person and online at the RHS PTA Mum Shop
• Orders can be placed with a 50% payment and pay the rest by pick up day.
• All Mum Shop sales are final (no refunds)

LOCATION 

Mum’s the Word is now located at Greenwood Hills Elementary at 1313 West Shore Drive, Richardson, TX 75080.  You will park in the back lot located on Woodland Way.  We are in rooms 14 & 15.  Use the 1st door entrance at the rear.

VOLUNTEER 

It takes a lot of volunteers to make this happen!!!

There's no sign-up to volunteer and you can come for as long (or short) as you want during work days. Volunteer hours are for ANYONE! We will approve hours for credit purposes, too.

No experience necessary! We welcome the opportunity to teach new skills to any volunteer! We are just getting started, now is a great time to come in and start with the basics with things like cutting, gluing and stapling. We make ALL the parts of our mums and garters before we even start putting them together so there is LOTS to do!
