Dear Eagles,
RISD parents have the opportunity in advance of each quarterly grading period to change the instructional choice for students. The window of opportunity to request a change for how your child receives the instruction for the second grading period, either virtual or face to face, will be offered from September 29 through October 2. Please carefully consider your choice, as once a change is made, that will be your child's instructional model throughout the second grading period until the third quarter grading period begins on January 5.
If you would like to change the instructional choice for your child for the second quarterly grading period, please complete the google form no later than Friday, October 2, at 10:00 am. RHS will confirm your change. The second grading period begins on October 16 and ends on December 18. If you are changing your child's instructional choice, a new schedule, which can be accessed in focus, will be issued prior to the start of the 3rd quarter. If further details are needed, or scheduling conflicts occur, RHS counselors or administrators will reach out to you.
Parents who do not wish to change the instructional choice for their students do not need to respond or take any further action. The change process is only for families who wish to change their choice. Please note that because of the substantial scheduling challenges and limitations inherent to providing two simultaneous types of instruction, RISD is unable to accommodate requests for changes outside of the window in advance of each new grading period. Please access the following links to complete the google form.

Home athletic events
If you plan to attend an athletic event, please visit https://web.risd.org/athletics/ for ticket information and safety guidelines. We asked that all athletic event attendees please read the risk mitigation information before attending an athletic event. It is imperative that all attendees follow safety guidelines so we can ensure our student-athletes and event participants are able to enjoy their full season without the risk of closure or cancellation. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as cheer on our Eagles on the courts and fields.
Thank you for your continued support of RHS and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us [via the RHS parent hub] bit.ly/RHSGuardian
